We’ll discuss what you want to automate, protect or run privately, and review the equipment you already have.
Agree on a scope
Get a proposed setup, equipment list and a clear split between remote work and any physical installation.
Build and commission
I prepare the agreed hardware, install the server software and configure the system. We connect it at your property, test the agreed workflows and walk through the controls and documentation.
Get remote help when you need it
Once the system is working, book remote help for troubleshooting, updates or small changes. You approve access before I connect.
I run MK Tech Solutions Brantford. In my own setup, a Reolink camera flags a person and Home Assistant coordinates the response. My AI setup can describe what it sees and use its own words in a speaker announcement. I also run segmented networking, TrueNAS storage and Ollama on local hardware. I bring that hands-on experience to each design and work with you directly.

Before you get started.
Can I keep my existing cameras or sensors?
Possibly. Send the model numbers if you have them. Compatibility depends on the device and the features you want to use.
Will it work if the internet goes down?
Compatible devices and rules can run on your home network when designed for local operation. Remote viewing and some phone notifications may still need internet access.
What can I get for $795?
The Starter covers one supported integration and one simple routine on a compatible hub that already runs Home Assistant. If you need a server built, extra routines or AI camera responses, we’ll scope those separately.
Do I need a support subscription?
Remote support is booked and billed when you need it. Any third-party subscriptions or licences are identified in your quote.
Who receives security alerts?
You and the people you designate can receive alerts. These automations are designed for self-monitoring.
How do you handle on-site work?
I build or configure the initial system on agreed hardware. If commissioning requires an on-site visit, I include it in the quote. You can arrange any cabling, mounting or electrical work separately.
What stays on my own equipment?
Supported storage, automations and AI workloads can run on your equipment. We’ll review any internet or vendor dependencies, including remote access, off-site backups, phone notifications and optional AI integrations.
